BEEF AND MACARONI CASSEROLE
1 ½ pounds ground sirloin
½ cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ cup dry red wine
1 to 2 teaspoons each of salt, pepper, garlic powder and
onion powder
2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon beef granules
1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (16-ounce) package elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
8 ounces shredded cheese
Brown the sirloin and onion together. Drain and return to the pan and stir in
garlic and flour until mixed well. Add
the remaining ingredients except for the cheese and cooked macaroni. Cover and simmer sauce on low for 30
minutes. Remove the sauce from heat and add drained macaroni to the sauce
and mix well. Pour into a 13x9x2 baking
dish. Cover macaroni with the shredded
cheese and bake at 350 for 10 minutes or just until the cheese is melted.
